Where It All Began
The Twist journey began when Alexia founded Twist Supplies, initially specialising in branded and non-branded disposable takeaway packaging for the hospitality industry. With a passion for helping independent businesses stand out, Twist Supplies quickly became a trusted supplier of custom printed coffee cups, food packaging, bags, napkins, labels and a wide range of everyday catering essentials.
As customer demand grew, so did the business. Twist Supplies expanded into professional vinyl printing, producing window graphics, wall graphics, signage, menus, stickers, vehicle graphics and bespoke branding solutions that helped hospitality businesses create a consistent and professional image.
Today, Twist Supplies works with more than 600 hospitality businesses throughout the UK, from independent cafés and coffee shops to restaurants, hotels, leisure venues and national organisations. Building these relationships has provided invaluable insight into the challenges businesses face every day, from controlling costs and maintaining quality to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
The Birth of Twist Coffee
As the customer base expanded, one conversation came up time and time again.
Customers weren't just looking for packaging, they were asking for advice on coffee, commercial coffee machines, servicing, training and finding reliable suppliers they could trust. This naturally led to the creation of Twist Coffee.
Simon joined the business to head up the coffee and commercial equipment division, bringing with him more than two decades of experience within the coffee industry. During his career, Simon has worked with thousands of businesses across the UK, helping everyone from independent cafés to large national organisations choose the right coffee equipment for their operation.
Most recently, Simon spent over 12 years as an Account Manager for WMF, one of the world's leading manufacturers of fully automatic commercial coffee machines. During this time he gained extensive knowledge of coffee equipment, drink quality, machine specification, workflow efficiency, installation planning and long-term customer support. Working closely with coffee roasters, machine manufacturers and hospitality operators has provided a unique understanding of what businesses really need from their coffee partner. This experience forms the foundation of everything we do today.
